PROBLEM-FIRST INTAKE

You do not need to know the engineering discipline or contractor classification.

TRANSPARENT BY DESIGN

The No-BS Hourly Model

$199 PER HOUR + PARTS

Traditional service companies may require multiple site visits, sales calls, estimate revisions, and administrative approvals before meaningful work begins. HAWAII Engineering uses a more direct model.

Tell us what is wrong, what needs to be designed, inspected, repaired, installed, managed, sourced, measured, documented, or delivered. We determine the appropriate scope, identify any licensing or permitting requirements, and begin with transparent authorization.

INVOICE — EXPLODED VIEWEVERY LINE, EXPLAINED
  • Troubleshooting, engineering support, coordination, field services — the clock starts when the work does.

The $199 hourly rate is a standard starting rate and is not a guarantee that every regulated, specialized, hazardous, prevailing-wage, emergency, equipment-intensive, or subcontracted service will be performed at that rate. Customers receive clear authorization terms before material additional expenses are incurred.

CONVERSION-FREE STARTING POINT

Start With One Hour

Not sure what you need? Start with a one-hour technical assessment. We will review the problem, identify the likely disciplines involved, and recommend the fastest lawful path forward.

  • → One hour. One rate. A real diagnosis.
  • → Licensing and permitting requirements identified.
  • → A documented recommendation you keep either way.

SERVICE FAMILY A

Electrical Engineering & Electrical Systems

Electrical problems rarely announce which discipline they belong to. We assess, troubleshoot, and plan electrical systems for commercial, industrial, government, and residential clients — and coordinate licensed electrical contractors when installation work requires them.

  • Electrical-system assessments
  • Load calculations
  • Power-distribution planning
  • Single-line diagram coordination
  • Electrical troubleshooting
  • Lighting assessments
  • Street-light and roadway-lighting projects
  • Interior and exterior lighting

ENERGY & INFRASTRUCTURE

Powering an Island Grid That Can't Fail

Hawaiʻi is building one of the most ambitious renewable systems in the world — and every kilowatt needs operations, maintenance, and honest data. We manage approximately 0 kW of government harbor solar, investigate underperformance, plan battery storage and microgrids, and read production data like the engineering evidence it is.

  • → Solar O&M and production monitoring
  • → Battery storage, microgrids, and resilience planning
  • → Energy audits and utility data analysis
  • → EV charging infrastructure coordination

GPR • LIDAR • GIS • DRONES

See the Site Before You Touch It

Reality capture and subsurface investigation turn unknowns into data: GPR scans before you cut or dig, LiDAR point clouds and drone orthomosaics for design, and GIS databases that keep it all usable. Our past performance includes planned subsurface data collection across approximately 0 acres on Kauaʻi, integrated with survey, LiDAR, and mapping teams.

  • → Concrete scanning and utility location support
  • → LiDAR, photogrammetry, and digital twins
  • → GPS-referenced, CAD-ready deliverables
  • → Licensed-surveyor and FAA-compliant drone coordination

THE LICENSED NETWORK

The Right License for the Right Job

Engineering and construction projects often cross multiple regulated disciplines. HAWAII Engineering acts as a central point of responsibility, assembling the professionals, trades, equipment, and technical resources needed for each assignment.

We do not claim to personally hold every trade or professional license. Regulated work is performed by, reviewed by, stamped by, or subcontracted to appropriately licensed professionals when required by Hawaiʻi law — and you can view verified license information for the professionals assigned to your project.

01

We assess the problem

Plain-language intake, field observation, and document review — before anyone sells you a scope.

02

We identify legal, licensing, and permitting requirements

Every scope is checked against Hawaiʻi licensing and permitting law before work is classified.

03

We determine what can be performed directly

Unregulated technical work, coordination, documentation, and logistics move immediately.

04

We engage properly licensed professionals for regulated scopes

Stamped, licensed, and regulated work goes to verified professionals and contractors — identified to you by name and license.

05

We coordinate execution, documentation, communication, and closeout

One point of responsibility from first call to closeout documentation.
